Cathy Goddard, Principal of Lighthouse Visionary Strategies

Cathy has called Whistler home since 1988.  Well versed in many aspects of human resources, she started an employment agency in 1995 to assist businesses in recruiting and retaining talent.   After selling her company in 2008, Cathy is now focusing on a new venture as Principal of Lighthouse Visionary Strategies.  Lighthouse’s objective is to engage and empower individuals through training workshops and seminars.  She also provides meeting design and facilitation, as well as teambuilding sessions to cultivate team growth in the workplace.

Cathy writes a weekly column for the Whistler Question newspaper, and facilitates pre-games training orientations for the 2010 Olympics and for the Whistler Spirit program.  She is past-Chair of Women of Whistler and presently serves on the Board of the Whistler Community Services Society.  Cathy has taught business education programs for Whistler’s young people through Junior Achievement of BC and served as a Community Leader in the Minerva Foundation’s 2009 Learning to Lead Program.

Whistler provides everything she loves – a fabulous community, downhill and cross-country skiing, running, yoga and long walks in any season.
