Our Guest Speaker, Kirsten Barnes is a two time Olympian (1988 & 1992), a double Olympic Gold Medallist from the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, and World Champion in 1991 at the Rowing World Championships for Canada. As the Lead Performance Readiness and Sport Psychology consultant for the Canadian Sport Centre Pacific, she gave an inspiring presentation on mental toughness and the hurdles you need to overcome to move forward with your goals. As co-presenter, Cathy Goddard of Lighthouse Visionary Strategies (and WOW's Chair) shared details on using mind mapping as a tool to create that visualization. It’s always evident that WOW draws in a dynamic group (with larger numbers all the time!) and the generosity and knowledge of our speakers are key factors in engaging that audience.
